One suggestion to think about for your future living room audio is to just get a really nice pair of self powered bookshelf speakers connected to a SB player (SB3, Touch, or another SB Receiver), all can be controlled by your Controller. Wished i had heard about Logitech before i bought that bloody Bose!! Whan I get rid of the aforementioned Bose from the living room, I shall buy another squeeze box, but what amp or speakers? It's only a small living room ( about 12ft by 12ft ), and we don't need full surround sound.Probably looking to spend around a grand, imcluding the squeexebox. I can buy an external hard drive, but I don't want or need a NAS, as we're more than happy with Napster or internet radio in the mornings when the computer is likely to be off.Ģ Is Widows media player 11 good enough to rip my cds, or should i download/buy a cd ripping programme?ģ One for the future. What do you guys think should be my minimum conversion rate. Regarding the above, I have a couple of questions.ġ I am a bit short on hard drive space ( about 200G )and have about 500 cds to rip. Even Napster streaming at 128 kbs sounds better than the bose 3 2 1 system I have been using in the living room. I've hooked the Duet (via analogue) up to a Sherwood AX-405DR and a pair of Eltax Symphony42 speakers in the kitchen diner, and use the boom in the bedroom. Had a couple of difficulties getting started, all down to me not being logical, but all sorted now, and I have to say this is BRILLIANT. I started off with a squeezebox boom in Novemmber last year, and was so pleased with it I've been following these forums ever since, and 3 days ago dived in and bought the Duet.
